    Finding your channel link

Channels and groups use different links. This trial needs the channel link, which always contains /channel/:

    https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaAbCdEfGhIjKlMnOp12
    1. 1Open WhatsApp and go to the Updates tab, where your channel is listed.
    2. 2Open your channel and tap its name to see the channel info.
    3. 3Tap Share (or Channel link) and choose Copy link.
    4. 4Paste the whatsapp.com/channel/… link into the form above.

    Links that won't work

    • A group invite link (chat.whatsapp.com/…) — groups have members who chat, and they can't receive channel followers.
    • A wa.me link, which opens a chat with a phone number rather than a channel.
    • A link to a single channel update instead of the channel itself.
    • A channel that has been suspended or deleted since you copied the link.

How WhatsApp Channels and followers work

Channels are WhatsApp's one-way broadcast feature, and they work quite differently from groups. These details explain what your follower count means.

    Channels broadcast, groups chat

In a channel only admins post; followers read and react. Groups are private conversations where every member can write, and they are capped at 1,024 members.

    Followers stay anonymous

Followers can't see each other, and channel admins can't see followers' phone numbers. Admins' numbers are hidden from followers too.

    People find channels in Updates

The Updates tab includes a channel directory that people can browse and search. A channel with a real following looks more worth joining there.

    Reactions instead of replies

Followers respond to updates with emoji reactions and can vote in polls, but they can't reply in the channel. Reaction counts show which updates land best.

    Updates don't stay forever

WhatsApp keeps channel updates on its servers for up to 30 days, so a channel is built for timely news rather than a permanent archive.

    The follower count is public

Your channel's info screen shows how many followers it has, and so does the directory listing. It's the first thing people see before tapping Follow.

Forwarded updates lead back to you

When a follower forwards one of your updates into a chat or group, it carries a link to your channel. That's one of the main ways channels grow — every forward is a small advert for following.

    Notifications are opt-in

Following a channel doesn't mean getting a ping for every update; followers switch notifications on if they want them. Many people simply check the Updates tab, which is why a clear channel name and photo matter.

    Growing your channel further

The trial gives you 10 followers so you can check delivery on your own channel. Businesses using a channel for offers, news or customer updates can add followers in larger amounts with the paid packs below, so the channel looks active from the first announcement.

Free WhatsApp channel followers — FAQ

Can I get free WhatsApp channel followers without my phone number?

Yes. Following a channel only needs its link, so we never ask for your number or a verification code.

Does this work for WhatsApp groups?

No. Groups are private chats with members, and they use chat.whatsapp.com invite links. This trial is for channels, which use whatsapp.com/channel/ links.

Will followers see my phone number?

No. WhatsApp hides channel admins' phone numbers from followers, and hides followers' numbers from admins.

Where do I find my channel link?

Open your channel from the Updates tab, tap its name, then Share or Channel link, and copy it.

Can new followers reply to my updates?

Followers can react with emoji and vote in polls, but channels don't allow replies. That's part of how WhatsApp designed them.

Why do my old updates disappear?

WhatsApp stores channel updates for up to 30 days, after which they're removed from its servers.

What can I post in a WhatsApp channel?

Text, photos, videos, stickers, links and polls. Most businesses use channels for offers, new arrivals, opening hours or announcements, and let followers react with emoji.

How do I create a WhatsApp channel if I don't have one yet?

Open the Updates tab, tap the plus or Create channel option, and follow the steps to add a name, a description and a photo. Once it exists, copy its link from the channel info screen and it's ready for the trial.

Can I switch the followers to a different channel later?

No. Followers join the channel whose link you sent and stay there. If you run several channels, send the one you most want people to discover first.

Does a channel need a minimum number of followers?

No. Any active channel can receive followers, including a brand-new one.

    Are there other free trials?

Yes — see the list of every free trial, linked below, for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and more.

Can I get free WhatsApp Members more than once?

You can claim one free order every 7 days, across all of our free services. Once that time has passed, come back and claim again.
